Western Australia has recorded no new local cases of COVID-19, with the number of infections in the latest outbreak sparked by a French backpacker remaining at 10.

There were 4,911 tests conducted at public and private testing clinics yesterday, WA Premier Mark McGowan said in a statement.

He said to date, 655 close contacts of the original carrier — case 1133 — had been identified, with 46 yet to be tested.

Health officials later revealed 28 of those 46 close contacts were patrons from a Perth Mess Hall rave party attended by the backpacker.
