Australia face New Zealand, England and Afghanistan in Super 12 stage of 2022 T20 World Cup

Australia's home Twenty20 World Cup title defence will begin against New Zealand at the SCG on October 22 — a 2021 final rematch.

Fixtures for the 2022 tournament were released on Friday with Australia's Group 1 pool also featuring England and Afghanistan.

Like the 2021 tournament, the opening matches will be played between smaller cricketing nations.

Split into groups A and B, the winners and runners-up of those pools will qualify for the main groups 1 and 2.
